Bridges open in Suva CBD; traffic congestion to ease

Update: 1:53PM THE STINSON Parade and Vatuwaqa bridges in Suva were officially opened today.
And the opening of the two bridges is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in and around the city.
Fiji’s Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said while traffic was a challenge that kept most people away from their families, the Government was committed to ensure the development of our infrastructure.
“Here in downtown Suva, the new Stinson Parade bridge will massively free up congestion in the downtown area making the roads safe for our drivers and making the entire area far more accessible for passers-bys ensuring Fijians have acess to our capital,” Mr Bainimarama said.
