Boxing finals begin, Police dominate early bouts

THE first round of bouts have begun at the Sukuna Bowl Boxing finals at the Police Mobile Hall in Nasinu.

In the 60kg category, Soheb Ali of Police retained his title after beating Sanjit Narayan also of police by unanimous points decision.

In the 64kg category, Jone Koroilagilagi of Police won by an unanimous points decision against Ilaijia Vucago of Army.

In the 69kg category, Alipate Tuwai of Army won by unanimous points decision against Filimoni Drotini also of Army.

The 75kg, 81kg, 91+ kg and 91kg finals are yet to begin.
