Expect some blockbusting bouts when professional boxing takes centre stage in Suva during the Lewis-Hill Boxing Promotions on Saturday at the FMF Gymnasium.

Promoter Winston Hill, who will be part of the event, will be fighting his first professional bout against Ratu Rakuro Daunivanua in the super welterweight division.

According to Hill, he will have the late Napoleon Taumoepeau at the back of his mind when he takes the ring this week.

“My boxing career started with Napoleon. He scouted me from a few amateur boxing tournaments at the Rabuka Gym,” Hill said.

“Ever since then we were an inseparable pair. He built me up into the machine that I am,” he added.

Taumoepeau passed away in 2018.

Meanwhile, Joseph Kwadjo will face Apisai Naciqa in the cruiser weight division that will also serve as the main bout and the program includes locally renowned boxers such as Junior Farzan Ali and Gabrielli Ravalawa
