NATASIRI boxer Josefa Ravudi Junior is hungry to bag his first gold medal in his first Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu next month.
Ravudi had been in the police force for the past five years and he is ready to represent Fiji.
“It is an honour to represent the country and a very few people get this opportunity, so I am one of the fortunate one,” he said.
“Our aim is to win gold.”
Lomaiviti boxer Jone Koroilagilagi said the competition would be at the highest peak and only the toughest boxers would survive.
“It is the call of my country for me to go and box in Pacific Mini Games and I am ready to win for the people,” he said.
“We are obviously not going there for a picnic, but we mean business and win medals for Fiji.”
Pauliasi Ratu Junior said months of hard work would certainly be tested.
“Our fitness have been on par since we had been working extremely hard during our training and gym sessions and we are confident of a good out from the Pacific Mini Games,” he said.
“It has been a long months of training. Since we all are the police officers we competed in the Sukuna Bowl and after which we were called into the squad.”
