THE Suva Bowling Club is hosting its first national tournament for 2020 this weekend.

The Coca-Cola National Triples Bowling Tournament will focus on the exposure of club members and bowlers who had registered in the annual competition.

Games committee member Phillip Lacey said invitation had been sent out to people who would be interested to compete in the competition today and tomorrow.

“This competition has been running here for many decades and there will be bowlers all over Fiji coming to play.

“We’ll probably have one full green of players on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.

“We are very pleased to say Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd is sponsoring this tournament with the winner receiving the prizemoney.

“Anyone who wants to come down and enjoy the facilities at the Suva Bowling Club and have a look at some great bowlers in action, please come on down.”

The tournament starts today and ends tomorrow. More than 30 bowlers are expected to be part of the event.
