Border school gets Parliament briefing

Update: 3:17PM THE last school in the Tailevu province received Parliament on their doorsteps this week when a bus brought to them better awareness of the legislative arm of government.

Students and teachers of Dawasamu Secondary School were given basic awareness of the role of the Fijian Parliament when the Parliament Bus programme visited the school on March.

A statement from the Fijian Parliament said 181 students and 22 teachers were part of the event.

“Today, the Parliament Bus programme will visit Vunimono Secondary School and Dilkusha Memorial High School,” the statement said.

“Last two weeks, similar programme was conducted in the remote villages in the Lau group and part of Taveuni and Kadavu.”
