Boost for Nadi

VODAFONE Fiji FACT reigning champion Jack’s-Chicken Express Nadi received a timely boost with the gift of $3500 from Chicken Express in Nadi on Wednesday.

The eleventh hour financial assistance is expected to boost the side in its first game against Nadroga to be held at Ba’s Govind Park on Sunday.

Chicken Express CEO Aswin Sharma said the support was a continuation of the company’s commitment in helping Nadi soccer.

He hoped the support would inspire the Jetsetters to give their best in the tournament.

“Nadi soccer approached me needing some financial support and as a co-sponsor Chicken Express has decided to back them up and take them to victory,” said Sharma.

“We are co-sponsors and we are very proud to be associated with the team.

“The first year when they won the Fiji FACT was in 2013, we have been supporting them likewise last year and we will make sure if Nadi wins we have more in store for the team.”

Nadi soccer official Mohammed Hafiz said the gift would motivate the players to play their hearts out and to successfully defend their title.

“We are very delighted- this company has been with us for the past years supporting Nadi soccer and whenever we approached them they never turned their back on us,” said Hafiz.

“It’s a big help for us and sure this relationship will carry on. This donation will definitely boost the morale of the players.”

The first round of Fiji FACT will be played in Ba and Nausori on Sunday.
