A book detailing the traditional ties and relationship the people of Nasautoka, Tailevu have with people in other parts of Fiji was launched yesterday at the iTaukei Trust Fund office in Nasese, Suva.

Titled “Na Veiwekani Ena Vanua”, the book was penned by the late Ratu Semi Seruvakula over a three-year period.

His wife, Rejieli Seruvakula said she was proud of her husband for taking on the task of teaching the younger generation their roots.

“I want to thank the iTaukei Trust Fund and the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs for providing all the expenses in putting out the book,” she said.

“Also I would like to thank Dr Apolonia Tamata and Sikeli Cakaubalavu for helping my late husband during the time he wrote the book.”

She also thanked former foreign affairs permanent secretary, Emitai Boladuadua for writing the introduction of the book.

She said her late husband, a former teacher and government minister, taught many young men their roles in their families and the vanua.

The book was launched by former PS for Foreign Affairs Misau Fatiaki.

The book is selling at $25 a copy.
