Bole secures New Zealand deal

Yalovata Young Boys captain Josefa Bole from Ovalau has secured a contract in New Zealand and is part of his sevens team that played in the 2020 Marist 7s wants to inspire and motivate his brothers.

Captain courageous was given a contract to join the Southland team in New Zealand in the ITM Cup competition.

The former Ovalau rugby team fly half in the 2020 Vanua Shield competition has withdrawn from his fifteens side after signing his contract.

Bole inspired his teammates that anyone can get an overseas contract and it depended on how they set their goal.

“Only through God anything is possible and my contract was from him,” said Bole.

“We are a group of boys that always play touch rugby together every afternoon in Levuka and to be part of the tournament is a challenge especially when it’s our first time.

“I challenged the boys that anyone can secure a contract because there are other players who are better than me and it’s all up to their commitment in training and performance on the field.”

The Yalovata Young Boys lost to Blue Diamond two 24-17 in the first pool games then they were edged by Ratu Filise 14-7 and drew against Raiwasa Taveuni 5-5
