Boat captain charged for not declaring ammunition

A BOAT captain will be produced in court today for failing to declare ammunition he had on board.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the captain is alleged to have failed to declare a large quantity of a mix of different ammunition during a search on a New Zealand based yacht in Savusavu on Tuesday has been charged.
The New Zealand national has been charged with one count of failure to declare arms and ammunition to a customs officer.
He will be produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court today.
The other two suspects have been questioned and released.
