I would like to write this letter in response to some politicians for using social media to put the blame on the government for not providing assistance on time to victims of the recent floods living in evacuation centres in the Western Division.
In my opinion at this trying time, blaming others is not a solution or an issue to solve problems. Natural disasters do happen and no one can stop it.
I believe it seems some of these politicians are politicising the recent flooding to gain more attention on social media criticising the Bainimarama leadership.
Criticism in my opinion is not a solution to any problem. People need to co-operate and work together as citizens of a country.
Let’s put our political differences aside and work together as Fijians in this trying time.
“United we stand, divided we fall.”
