YOUNG Sebastian Singh has showed last week he has a long way to go in his career after earning a famous victory against an experienced Daniel Maxwell from New Zealand in their King of the Rings Promotion fight at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
Singh, who is 22-year-old, fights in the super lightweight category.
He made his professional fight debut in Australia in 2013.
The son of former boxer turned boxing trainer Gyan Singh has fought nine bouts and has only two losses .
His only disappointment in his short career as a professional was losing to Australians Matt Casboult in Queensland in 2013 and Haithem Laamouz at Punchbowl, New South Wales in July this year.
Apart from the win over Maxwell last week, Singh has also beaten two of Fiji’s best fighters in his weight division.
In both fights he lost by unanimous points decisions.
Last year Singh stopped Etuate Kofi in their fight in Nadi and also defeated former Fiji champion Waisale Ratu in Labasa.
While he was not able to stop Maxwell in Nadi dominated the fight to final bell.
The judges scorecards read at the end: 98-92 (Fatu Tuimanono), 100-90 (Jerry Smith) and 96-93 (Usman Ali) all in favour of the 22-year-old Singh.
