A DELEGATION of Japanese business people is in Fiji for a two-day investment seminar.

The inaugural Fiji-Japan Trade and Investment Symposium will also showcase various industries and sectors in Fiji that are viable and provide investment opportunities.

While opening the meeting at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa this morning, Trade and Industry Minister Faiyaz Koya said the meeting was an important one for both countries.

He said since establishing bilateral relations with Japan in 1970, the partnership between both countries had strengthened exponentially over the years.

The symposium ends tomorrow.
