THE Fiji Football Association expects a good turnout for the semi-finals and final of the 2017 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants this weekend.
The parent body was left disappointed after the attendance during the pool stage at Subrail Park in Labasa did not meet the expectations.
Labasa will play Rewa in the first semi-final at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 7.30pm tomorrow while Lautoka will host Nadi in the semi-final at Churchill Park at 3pm on Saturday.
Fiji FA acting president Tarunesh Reddy said all the semi-finalists were in top form.
Reddy said Labasa had a strong fan base in the Southern Division with many people from Vanua Levu residing in the Suva-Nausori corridor.
He said a lot would be at stake with this being the last major local tournament of the season.
“The winner will take home the current BOG trophy forever as a new cup would be introduced next season,” Reddy said.
The final will start at Churchill Park at 2.30pm on Sunday. Labasa is the holder of the Courts Inter District Championship trophy while Rewa holds the Vodafone Fiji FACT trophy.
The ticket for tomorrow’s night game is $10 flat. Ticket prices for the games at Churchill Park are $10 (pavilion-adult), $4 (pavilion-children), $6 (embankment-adult) and $3 (embankment-children).
