Better access to clean drinking water for Tuatua, Kade in Koro

Listen to this article:

THE villagers of Tuatua and Kade on Koro Island now have better access to clean drinking water.

This is after the Fiji Red Cross Society completed a major water sourcing project at the two villages earlier this week.

Fiji Red Cross director general, Filipe Nainoca said they opened the water projects and had been working in the communities to provide clean drinking water through a water source protection programme.

“It took our staff several months to complete this project,” Mr Nainoca said.

He said the programme involved a method called Spring Protection which basically targeted protecting the actual water source.
