WORKING to ensure Fijian children attend school and receive the best education is the main aim of this Government, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

He stressed this to parents and students during the opening of the Nausori Primary School’s new double-storey building yesterday Mr Bainimarama said the cost of the newly-built double-storey school building was about $843,000.

He added the only foundation of ensuring prosperity and development in Fiji was through education.

The PM said with the government initiatives in place, it was vital for parents to ensure their children attended school.

He said the number of students who were now attending school had increased Mr Bainimarama said he would also be working to ensure teachers were well paid and were provided with the needed tools and stationery.

He said the $1 billion that had been allocated to the Ministry of Education was a perfect testimony on how Government was devoted to ensuring the well-being of teachers and students.
