A 21-YEAR-OLD woman accused of murdering her newborn did not appear at the High Court in Suva today.
Venina Lagilagi is alleged to have committed the offense on February 10, 2019 at Lawaki Village.
Defence lawyer, Shantel Hazelman informed the court that she had not received any instructions from the accused as to why she was not present.
State lawyer Sheenal Swastika told the court that they had filed the proposed agreed facts and the proposed pre-trial conference checklist.
Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza issued a bench warrant against the accused.
The case has been adjourned to October 11.
