Be cautious at Kinoya intersection, FRA pleads

THE traffic lights at the Kinoya intersection along the Suva-Nausori corridor are not working and the Fiji Roads Authority has asked motorists to be cautious.
A statement from the Authority this evening said there was a system failure in the outdated traffic signal units that were already scheduled for replacement.
“The traffic signal intersection will be controlled by signs and cones and the traffic police marshals
will assist the public during peak hours,” the statement said.
“We are urging the public to exercise extreme caution on our roads, slow down, be courteous and
obey all traffic directions.”
The possible inconvenience to some may continue for two weeks, the length of time it would take FRA to bring in a replacement controller and lanterns.
