THE type of manure suitable for any type of soil can only be determined once it’s tested.

This was revealed by Principal Research Office Amena Banuve during a talanoa session held with farmers at the agriculture show held at Valelevu in Nasinu today.

This after Beqa farmer Tui Mereka asked about the best manure that would be most suitable for yaqona plants.

Mr Banuve said farmers would need to bring samples of their soil for it to be tested at the chemistry lab in Koronivia.

“Only after it is tested, then we will be able to determine which manure is suitable for that type of soil,” he said.
