RATU Semi Leiene, the director of Navunisareki Logging and Pruning Company based in Lautoka, says now they just about have all the necessary equipment to increase production.
“With all the latest equipment and machinery acquired, we are looking at increasing our production in January 2017 to our target of four containers per month,” Ratu Semi said.
This was after a BSP press release issued yesterday said Navunisareki Logging and Pruning Company was one of the successful companies to benefit from their Smart Business Term Loan.
“BSP kindly offered me a loan of $50,000 for a portable sawmill and working capital under their Smart Business Term Loan scheme, and it took them only a day to process it,” he said.
The 100 per cent locally-owned business was recently visited by head of Smart Business Tupou Halofaki during their Smart Business Roadshow in progress in Suva and Lautoka.
She met 35-year-old Ratu Semi, who eagerly showed her how the funding assistance had helped him and his business.
Also as part of BSP Smart Business delivery for Ratu Semi’s company, all his staff members received Life and Health Insurance advice, out of which many opted for an insurance cover that was specially designed for them.
