FIJI experienced a dark period in November 2000 during the attempted takeover at the Sukanaivalu Barracks and the military camp in Delainabua, says Prime Minister and FijiFirst leader Voreqe Bainimarama.

Speaking at the party’s family fun day in Labasa over the weekend, Mr Bainimarama said his party had removed discrimination in the country by getting all ethnic groups under a common name as Fijians.

He said discrimination had resulted in the takeover of the Sukanaivalu and Delainabua military camps on November 2, 2000.
