CHILDREN will reflect what they’re taught at home, says Ministry of ITaukei Affairs permanent secretary Meleti Bainimarama.

While opening the Cakaudrove Provincial Council meeting at Yaroi Village in Savusavu today, Mr Baininarama urged district representatives to work closely with the villagers, and also reminded parents about the importance of their roles.

Mr Bainimarama also assured the province that his team would continue to move into villages to raise awareness about iTaukei traditions, culture, and language.

This he said would not end.

He pleaded with the province to ensure that the iTaukei culture and language be upheld and preserved for the benefit of the future generation.
