Bainimarama and Qiliho plead not guilty

FORMER Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and suspended Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho appeared before Suva Magistrates Court judge Justice Seini Puamau and pleaded not guilty to abuse of office charges laid against them.

Justice Puamau has stood down the case for 11am as she told Prosecution to provide “substantial evidence” to support the bail conditions they’ve made.

The conditions set by prosecution include a 8pm to 5am curfew as they have concerns of “high level of interference” with their witnesses.
