Bail extended for Suva lawyer on theft charge

SUVA lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef has had his bail extended by the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Mr Lateef is facing theft and burglary-related charges.

He was alleged to have stolen three tablets and three mobile phones between December 28 last year and January this year.

In court earlier today, prosecution informed the court that Mr Lateef’s case file would be sent to the Office Director of Public Prosecutions.

The matter has been adjourned to May 5 to check on the position of DPP.

Mr Lateef also has two drug-related cases in the Suva Magistrates Court.
