IT was an emotional moment for Rugby Academy Fiji founder Seremaia Bai after about 200 children showed up at the Rugby Academy of Fiji Milo Tag Rugby Festival at Albert Park in Suva.

The tournament featured teams from all over the Suva area competing in a game of tag rugby with five boys’ grade and two girls’ grade.

Bai said it was an overwhelming feeling to see more children join in the one-week clinic and the tag rugby festival at the end of the day.

“To see the turnout here is quite an emotional one because we started with only eight students and now we have about 200 and we are glad we reached that target, this is just the first tag rugby festival but it is actually a successful one for us in managing to host a festival such as this,” said Bai.

He added he had a few plans up his sleeve for the Term 3 end holiday.

“We are planning another one week program such as this at the end of term three after this has been a success for us and we are looking forward to that.

“We just want to thank the Nestle Milo team who is our major sponsor for this one-week program, as well as BLK for sponsoring us with our merchandise and also to the parents who brought their kids out to attend the clinic and also take part in the festival,” said Bai.
