Baby Blues ready for Dragons

LAUTOKA Blues soccer team is ready to face Dragons in their O’League quarter-final clash in Tahiti tomorrow.

Team president Abdul Kadar said the boys were in top shape and ready for the game of their lives.

He said the team needed a win to secure a spot in the semis knowing the home team would be desperate to win for their fans.

Kadar said the boys were optimistic of a good outing and the team had no reason to lose the encounter.

“We have worked hard at training rectifying some of the weaknesses we committed during the pool games,” he said.

“This is a different game altogether and we cannot afford to commit basic mistakes.

“We are playing against an unbeaten team and we know they want to maintain their winning run.

“The boys have studied their game well and know how to counter the home team.”

He said the experience of their star players such as Beniamino Mateinaqara, Kolinio Sivoki, Kavaia Rawaqa, Dave Radregai, Zibraz Sahib, Jone Vesikula, Benjamin Totori, Samuela Drudru and Osea Vakatalesau would be vital for the team.

The clash kicks off at 6pm.
