FIJI Airways Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber wants his players to give their best when they defend their New Zealand 7s title in Hamilton this weekend.

After arriving in New Zealand on Monday, Baber is focused on pushing for the best performance from his men during their training sessions.

The Kalione Nasoko-captained side had a scrimmaging session with the Canada team on Monday before they worked on team combination yesterday.

Baber was happy with the players performance during training saying they had a good sharp session with intensity that they want to bring into their games.

“We play on the skills that we developed because that is how we will enter into our games this weekend. Every team in this tournament is working towards their plans and looking to topple Fiji.”

Fiji will open its 2019 HSBC New Zealand 7s campaign against Wales at 10.52am on Saturday morning.

The side will then play Argentina at 2.42pm before they clash with Australia at 6.52pm in their final pool match on Saturday.
