FIJI 7s coach Gareth Baber is adamant that his senior players will take charge when they hit the ground running during the HSBC Los Angeles 7s tournament this weekend.
THE Fiji 7s team had a scrimmage session against the Australia 7s ahead of the HSBC LA 7s tournament this weekend.
“I want to see is progression and leadership from our senior players,” Baber said.
“To move the team through the steps to where we want to get at the weekend.”
The team had a scrimmage session with Australia which allowed coach Baber to gauge the team before the tournament.
“Australia dictated parts of their game for the first couple of minutes and then we started to come back into it.”
“You don’t get training sessions like that and we still got a lot of work to do.”
Fiji takes on South Korea at 6.51am on Sunday, then faces France at 9.47am before battling it out against Argentina at 1.05pm.
