Ba hopes to complete some unfinished business against Rewa when the two teams meet in the top of the Vodafone Premier League table clash at Fiji Football Association Academy grounds in Namosau, Ba on Saturday.

The Men in Black and the Delta Tigers met in the semi-final of the Punjas Battle of the Giants at Churchill Park earlier this month with the match ending 2-all at full time.

The scoreline remained after the two 15-minute extra spells forcing the fixture to be decided in sudden-death penalty shootout which was won by the southerners.

Rewa went on to win the tournament beating Suva 1-0 in the final. Ba team manager Ranveer Singh said they planned to field the same players who featured in the semi-final and third/fourth place playoffs during the BOG.

Singh said there were injury concerns for Sanaila Waqanicakau and Narend Rao while their top choice goalkeeper Misiwani Nairube was still out nursing a knee injury which he sustained in the 2-1 victory against Lautoka .

“We are urging the fans come out in numbers to support the team,” Singh said.

“Without the fans no team can be successful. We have some unfinished business in the BOG.

“We played a grand game in the semi-final against Rewa but were unfortunate to be bundled following a penalty shootout.”

Rewa leads the VPL with 16 points, one ahead of Ba. Singh said scoring was the area of concern that the team had been working on during training this week.

He said against Rewa in the BOG, they could not capitalise on their chances during the 90 minute duration and extra time.

“We lacked in our finishing department and the focus has been on that during training,” Singh said.

“Everyone can expect a different Ba side more in terms of the attacking pattern this Saturday.

“Rewa after winning the BOG had their top players featuring in the futsal IDC where they finished third last weekend.

“Majority are also in the national team camp undergoing high level training. So we will not underestimate them and will come out firing.”

Singh said defending the VPL title was their main aim this season and they would be going out for a win on home soil
