The Ba football side has got its defense of the Vodafone Premier League back on track after a convincing 5-3 win over Navua in the Vodafone Premier League this afternoon.

Goals from Samuela Drudru and Saula Waqa saw Ba leading 2-nil within the first 10 minutes.

Navua captain Vinit Chand pulled one back from the penalty spot as Ba led 2-1 at the break.

Ba started the second half just like they did the first as Abbu Zahid and Saula Waqa’s two quick goals saw them take a 4-1 lead.

Apisai Smith came off the bench and headed in to pull one back but Zahid got his second to secure Ba the win.

Smith scored his second and Navua’s third goal late in the match but it was too little too late for the southerners.

Ba plays its next match at 7pm on Wednesday, July 15 against Lautoka at Churchill Park.
