Australian Defence delegation pays courtesy visit to Fiji PM

THE Australia’s Chief of the Defence Force, General Angus Campbell who is in the country for a one-day visit paid a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday.

General Campbell was accompanied by Australian Federal Police Commissioner Andrew Colvin, Deputy Director-General of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation Peter Vickery and Australian Border Force Commissioner Michael Otram.

The defence heads have been travelling the region and were in Tonga before they arrived in Fiji and will depart for Solomon Islands after their day-long visit.

The delegation also met with the Minister for Defence and National Security, Inia Seruiratu and the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto.
