Aussie Rules set to hit the West

THE Aussie Rules Footy is set to find a new home in Lautoka with its first AFL clinic likely to attract aspiring sportspeople this afternoon.

AFL of Fiji chairman Leigh Howard said the sport has fast established its mark in Suva and with huge following expected in the West.

He said he has been approached by several teams in the West who had expressed their desires to learn and play the sport.

And as a result two AFL teams were formed namely the Lautoka Raiders and the Nadi Panthers.

The AFL clinic will be held at ground two next to Churchill Park and will commence from 10am till 2pm.
