Archana Goundar was crowned Miss India Fiji 2017 during a glamorous event at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night.
Miss Goundar beat eight other contestants to claim the crown.
After a lapse of five years, the event made a vibrant comeback with more than 200 people enjoying the night of energetic performances and entertainment.
Harsha Harsmeetal won second runner-up, while the first runner-up was awarded to Sheenal Lata and Varsha Kumar.
Miss Goundar will be next seen representing Fiji at the International Finals next month in New York City.
Miss India Fiji national director Ranjit Raju said the pageant provided a platform to promote culture, heritage and arts of the Indian origins.
“This helps promote values of self esteem among people and I want to thank the sponsors who had bought this event this year,” Mr Raju said.
