FIJI Trade Unions Congress (FTUC) general secretary Felix Anthony has finally opened up about the intimidation tactics carried out on him, his family and other trade unionists during the administration of the previous government.

Speaking on The Fiji Times’ online news platform, The Lens @177, he said FTUC was normally seen as an opposition to government, resulting on him being jailed, arrested, and assaulted by military officials.

But he never once thought of giving up the fight for workers’ rights.

He said he has forgiven those who were responsible for those actions even though nobody had come forward to apologise.
