DOMESTIC violence is one of the biggest risks to women’s physical health and mental well-being in Fiji.

Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre (FWCC) co-ordinator Shamima Ali highlighted this at the National Cross Gender dialogue at the Holiday Inn, Suva.

Ms Ali said more women were affected by domestic violence than by diabetes, high blood pressure or hypertension.

She said women need to ensure that women’s right, health, access to resources and life are protected.
