ACHIEVING 100 per cent pass rate in schools is unrealistic, says Minister for Education Minister Rosy Akbar.

She made this remark to heads of schools during a forum at Saint Joseph Secondary School in Suva this morning.

However, she said that should not discourage teachers from improving student performances in school.

Ms Akbar said achieving such rates were difficult because students had different academic potentials.

“We are trusted to look after our nation’s greatest assets, our children. Do justice to the position that you have been given,” Ms Akbar said.

She said teachers were the ministry’s greatest human resource.
