TWO men will be produced at the Tavua Magistrates Court today for their alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery case last week.

And another will also appear with them after he was charged for allegedly receiving the stolen goods.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the two – aged 19 and 22 years – who are both mechanics from Navo in Nadi are alleged to have forcefully entered the home of a 64-year-old woman on November 8 and stole assorted items worth close to $2000.

She said investigators gathered information on the duo’s whereabouts and a team was formed to conduct a raid at Nakavika, Ba, where they were arrested and taken into custody.

“Investigators also managed to gather information that the two had allegedly sold the goods to a 29-year-old construction contractor in Lautoka for $300 and split the money,” Ms Naisoro said.

She said the officers conducted a search at the alleged receiver’s home and recovered the stolen items.

The two have both been charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of theft, while the 29-year-old from Lautoka has been charged with one count of receiving stolen property.
