Advisory: Water disruption alert for Lautoka

Listen to this article:

THE Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) says residents living in elevated parts of Lautoka will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from today, January 24 until Friday morning, January 25 2019.

Areas affected include Natabua Housing, Wairabetia, Saru, Banaras, Natokowaqa, Field 40 Area, Balawa, part of Dr Singh Bend, part of Feeder Rd.

WAF says the interruption in supply is due to suspected blockages in the raw water bulk main from the Varaqe Dam to the Saru Water Treatment Plant resulting in low production levels.

Supply will be restored on Friday morning, January 25, 2019.

WAF is advising customers residing in the affected areas to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.
