Advisory: Unplanned water disruption for elevated parts of Suva

Listen to this article:

RESIDENTS living in the elevated parts of Suva are being advised that they will be experiencing low water pressure to intermittent supply from tonight until 6pm Wednesday (October 23, 2019).

A statement from the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) revealed that affected areas include Sukuna Road, Domain Road, Laucala Bay Road, University of the South Pacific (USP), Muanikau Road, Stodart Street, Knolly Street, Nailuva Road, Cakobau Road,  Ma’afu Street, Veiuto Road, Vuya Road , Nasova Police Barracks, Gladstone Road, Government Building, Queen Elizabeth Drive (QED), Berkley Crescent, Government House, Flagstaff Area, Mariko Street, Gordon Street and Selbourne Street.

The interruption in supply is due to low water levels at the service reservoir in Flagstaff, which is resulted from air locks within the reticulation.

Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas above to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary disruption period.

WAF crew members are currently working to sustain current water levels at the service reservoirs.

For further inquiries, customers can call 3346777 and 5777 (Vodafone, Digicel & Inkk users) or email contact@waf.com.fj
