MEMBERS of the public travelling to and from Suva’s central business district in the coming days should take note of night road works which will affect traffic.
The advisory was issued by Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) that we will be carrying out mill and fill works on Central St, Renwick Rd and Thomson St from tomorrow.
FRA will be carrying out road works from 7.30pm to 5.00am daily from tomorrow Wednesday, August 1 to Friday, August 3.
No works will be carried out on Saturday, August 4.
It will resume at 7.30pm on Sunday August 5 to 5.00am Monday August 6, 2018.
“During this time traffic will be reduced to single lane,” FRA said in a statement.
“Members of the public are requested to strictly adhere to the traffic management in place to ensure the safety of other motorists and workmen alike.”
FRA stated that these works were part of the new Central Business District Traffic Layout works which is being implemented to reduce traffic congestion within Suva CBD area.
“Travelers along this area are advised to take this notice into account when finalising travel plans,” FRA stated.
