THE Waidra Bridge on Baulevu Road in Nausori will be closed for maintenance work from 8pm tonight until 6am tomorrow.
This was confirmed by the Fiji Roads Authority(FRA).
According to FRA, during this time, access would be prohibited across the bridge and there would be no detours posted.
“Works will include removing and replacing of damaged nailing strip, transverse planks and damaged running boards. Bridge closure signs have been posted in advance of the closure period and motorists are requested to plan their travel accordingly,” FRA said.
Standby vehicles will be available on both sides of the bridge to cater for emergency events.
