Non-profit organisation Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) Fiji once again came to the aid of struggling Fijians who have been drastically affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

This week, assistance from ADRA Fiji reached a total of 108 families in the Western Division.

ADRA Fiji emergency co-ordinator Samisoni Loga said through their collaboration with the Commissioner Western’s office, food packs were distributed to households in Nadi, Tavua and the Yasawa Group.

Mr Loga said they were grateful for the support of their donors who enabled the group to reach out to these struggling families.

“Since the second outbreak in April, ADRA Fiji has assisted close to 4000 households through our COVID-19 and also Tropical Cyclone Yasa response,” he said.

“The assistance is in the form of cash and food rations, thanks to the support from the NZ Aid Program, Australian Aid and the European Union Aid.

“Our COVID-19 response is expected to continue in the coming weeks,” Mr Loga said.
