Active worker participation required for safety: Kumar

THE health and safety of workers in Fiji require active worker participation in their implementation, says Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Parveen Kumar.

He said one could only prevent workplace injury and illness if they have the foresight to understand that the new work hazards would be.

Mr Kumar said no job now or in the future should take away safety and well-being or the life of a person.
