FORMER Adi Cakobau School (ACS) sprint queen Ana Kaloucava is confident the school has the ability to successfully defend its Coca-Cola Games title this year.

The former head girl of the school was the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the school’s inter-house competition at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

“I believe the girls have the potential to successfully defend the overall girls title.

“Seeing the talents displayed at today’s competition with the track events and the field I have confidence in the school winning again this year,” said Kaloucava.

The Tailevu lass had a message for her young sisters to do their best and aim for gold.

“I encourage the girls to just give their best in all their events and continue to work hard if they want to make it somewhere in life.

“Most of all I want them to just enjoy and have fun. It’s not mainly about competition as this opportunity comes a few years in your life,” said Kaloucava.

“This athletics year will be interesting and we will try our best to defend our title,” said Kaloucava.
