‘A job well done’

THE Electoral Commission has commended the Fijian Elections Office for ensuring a free and fair election. Commission chairman Chen Bunn Young also expressed his sincere gratitude to the people of Fiji.
“The commission thanks the Fijian Elections Office, which, under the able leadership of Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem, worked tirelessly in voter registration and the new system to ensure the delivery of free and fair elections,” Mr Young said on Monday.
On the other hand, Mr Saneem thanked the government for conducting the election and ensuring it was done well.
Mr Saneem also thanked the donor countries and their unwavering support with expertise.
He said there were a lot of people to thank with regards to the smooth conduct of the election.
“I also acknowledge the hard work of each and every member of the Fijian Elections Office,” Mr Saneem said.
“We have proven that a new set of people with new ideas have the idea to perform beyond what this nation expects.”
Mr Saneem congratulated all election officials for what he said was “a job well done”.
