COVID-19 Pandemic gives family time to rugby player

FIJI 7s player Terio Tamani believes the current COVID-19 predicament has been a blessing in disguise allowed him to focus more time on matters close to his heart, his family.

“When you give a lot of time representing the nation, it is great to spend quality time at home with those who matter most,” Tamani said.
The Ravitaki in Kadavu nippy halfback after a training session yesterday played a mini game of rugby touch with his two year old son Jayden Tamani at their home in Valelevu yesterday.

“My family has always been my fuel when I go out and play, and support no matter how we play.

“To be able to spend time with them like this, nothing can beat it,”

Although in isolation, Tamani said he ensured that he kept to his own training programme and maintained his fitness.

“We do what we can in these situations and right now it’s usually gym work and a lot of road runs.“I also keep in touch with other members of the team and we make sure we are on the same page and support each other from where ever we are in Fiji.”
