There have been 965 confirmed cases of dengue fever in Fiji so far this year, the Ministry of Health has reported.

The ministry said 245 cases were recorded in the last week.

It also confirms that there are outbreaks in Nadi, Tavua, Ba in the Western Division, and in Levuka.

The ministry continues to urge members of the public to get rid of potential mosquito breeding places, such as empty containers inside and outside homes that may collect water, including discarded tires, flower vases, and pot plant bases.
