Value City opened it’s 15th branch yesterday in Nukuloa, Ba with a total investment of $80,000, creating seven new jobs in the process.
Commissioner Western Mesake Ledua while officially opening the outlet said the Company’s first rural shop would provide an opportunity to over 10,000 people living in the surrounding areas to purchase the same products as Value City’s other shops throughout Fiji.
“The Value City outlet located here centrally in Nukuloa will strategically serve the districts of Naloto, Nalotawa and Magodro and it’s people who would have otherwise forked out money for bus fares and carrier hire for their travel to Ba town in order to buy such items,” he said.
Mr Ledua said the outlet would retail pre-loved clothing, toys, foot wear and related items which would extremely low priced and of good quality.
Value City’s managing director Vera Chute said the company would now be taking it’s products and services to rural areas to better serve them.
“We are bringing our top quality products at an affordable price to the people of Nukuloa and the surrounding communities for them to take advantage of our products,” said Ms Chute.
