8 ways to get rid of ants

ANTS are somewhat difficult insects to get rid of, especially inside our homes. As much as we try to eliminate the crawling ones that we see, they keep coming back.

Ants love sugar and they are attracted to anything sweet. According to the www.food.ndtv.com website the main area to target is their entry point and there are eight simple ways to help you solve your ant infestation problem.

Chalk

Chalk contains calcium carbonate, which helps in keeping ants away. Spray some powdered chalk in the areas that ants enter from or draw a line at the entrance.

Lemons

Squeeze a lemon or place lemon peels in places where the ants enter. Also wash and mop your floors with water that has lemon juice added to it. Ants dislike the smell of lemon juice so they will stay away from it.

Oranges

Add a few orange peels to one cup of warm water to make a paste. Spread the paste around the entry points of ants and wipe it afterwards.

Pepper

Ants love sugar but hate pepper. Sprinkle pepper at the areas that ants enter from in your house and this will stop them from coming in.

Salt

Spread salt near nooks and corners of your home that ants enter from. Salt will keep ants away.

White vinegar
