THE much anticipated Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League under-19 final between Ratu Kadavulevu School Eels and Lelean Memorial School Bulldogs will be a thriller.

With the increase of prizemoney, both teams will battle hard in their bid to walk away $5000 richer.

Tournament official Biu Colati said the increase in incentives would inspire the players to come out of their comfort zones and produce the goods for their respective schools.

He said both teams had equal chances of winning after their impressive outings this season.

Colati said the winner would receive $5000, an increase from $2500 received last year.

“The competition continues to grow each year and the timely increase in sponsorship will motivate players to fully maximise their talents,” Colati said.

Fiji National Rugby League CEO Timoci Naleba said more incentives had been set out for players after the finals.

“We would like to have some incentives not only for the winners but in recognising individual players throughout the season,” Naleba said.

FSSRLA administrator Laisiasa Corerega also confirmed the final would be held at the ANZ Stadium instead of Lawaqa Park.

The games kick off at 8.15am.

Fixtures: U15: Lelean Bulldogs – Nasinu Panthers, U17: Lelean Bulldogs – Marist Storms, U19: Lelean Bulldogs – RKS Eels
